Choose the panels for the task#

The editor includes workspaces for different types of layout work, including Essentials, Typography, Printing and Proofing, Book and Interactive for PDF. A workspace changes the interface arrangement; choosing one does not make every desktop-only feature available in the browser. Start with the panels relevant to the page you are editing and add more when the task requires them.

Panels can be shown, hidden, grouped, moved or floated within the application interface. Properties and the contextual task bar respond to the selection, while specialized panels provide access to pages, layers, styles, tables and other document information. If a control is unavailable, check whether the current selection is text, a frame or a graphic.

  1. Choose an appropriate workspace from the workspace controls.
  2. Show the panels needed for the current task and arrange them around the canvas.
  3. Use Quick Apply to search for a style or command when its menu location is unclear.

Make the interface readable#

Interface brightness, scaling and language controls affect the editing environment. Quick Apply lists matching styles and commands, making it useful when a document has many named styles. Keyboard Shortcuts provides a view of assigned shortcuts; browser-reserved combinations may still be intercepted before the editor receives them. Save your document independently of interface customization.
