Export presentations, PDFs and slide images
Download the right format for continued editing, viewing or printing.
Applies to Deck 0.7.0 on doc.et.
Choose an output for the recipient#
Keep a native DeckCraft file as your working copy. Export PPTX when another presentation editor needs an editable exchange file. Export PDF when the recipient mainly needs to read or print the slides. PNG and JPEG create an image of the current slide in the browser, while a text outline provides a compact textual representation of the deck.
Export creates a separate download rather than changing the original file on your device. The browser export path for PNG renders the active slide; do not assume an all-slides image action produces a complete image package in this build. Check the filename and open the downloaded result before sending it to anyone.
- Save an editable .deckcraft copy.
- Choose an export format that matches the recipient’s task.
- Open the download and check fonts, layout, slide count and any links.
PDF and printing expectations#
Print in the web editor produces a PDF download. Open that PDF in a viewer to choose a printer. PDF artwork is rendered as slide imagery with a text layer, so it is not a fully vector reproduction of the presentation. Animation and audio do not become moving content in a static PDF. Office interoperability has known gaps; retain originals when exchanging complex decks.
